Holistic Counselling

What is Holistic Counselling?

Holistic counselling is a unique approach to therapy that focus on treating the individual as whole. This integrative method considers interconnectedness of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of a person’s life. It is deeply supportive therapy that is tailored to the individual’s needs. This work empowers people to gain self-awareness, perspective, and the skills necessary for a healthy, balanced and connected life.

Born from: I needed someone that could offer more than talk therapy. That could see my pain, struggles and depression were connected to my disconnection from my body, that my struggles were rooted in childhood trauma. Holistic counselling honors all of who you are - mind, body, spirit, and story - because healing happens when we address the whole person.

Holistic Counselling Embraces:

  • Your whole story - not just your struggles, but also your strengths, and unique journey

  • Multiple pathways to healing - including body awareness, creative expression, somatic therapy, alternative practices, and emotional processing

  • Your natural wisdom - trusting that you have innate knowledge about what you need to heal and grow

  • The mind-body connection - recognizing that emotions live in your body and healing happens on multiple levels

  • Your relationships and environment - understanding how your connections and surroundings impact your wellbeing.

The Holistic Difference

Holistic counselling asks "What's happened in your life, and how can we help you reconnect with your wholeness?"

This approach recognizes that you are not broken and don't need to be fixed. Instead, you are a whole person who may have learned certain patterns or carried certain burdens that no longer serve you. Together, we explore what wants to emerge as you shed what's no longer needed and embrace what's authentically yours.

Holistic counselling provides a compassionate, comprehensive approach that honors all of who you are; whilst empowering you to use the tools you feel best suit your own needs.
