Sound Therapy

What is Sound Therapy?

Sound Therapy can help reduce stress, chronic pain relief, and trauma held in your body. Sound Healing /Therapy is used to alleviate symptoms caused by many conditions, including anxiety, PTSD, dementia, cancer, helps regulate emotions, promoting deep relaxation.

It can also be beneficial to lower stress, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and the risk of heart conditions such as artery disease and stroke, whilst improving sleep quality and overall, wellbeing.

Deep relaxation is the most significant benefit of sound healing, followed by its energetic deep tissue massage effect caused by the sound vibrations that open, clear, and balance the chakras, whilst releasing stuck energy.

Ultimately, sound therapy supports our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, leaving us feeling balanced and refreshed.

What to Expect

A sound healing session involves lying down in a comfortable position, closing our eyes, and focusing on sounds made by music instruments like chimes, gongs, and singing bowls. I often incorporate this with my Reiki / energy healings.

Research shows us that sound healing can slow down our brain waves and put our bodies in a very relaxed, dreamlike state.

Sound Healing Contraindications

Pregnant women are advised to be cautious when participating in any form of sound healing, especially during the first 12 weeks, by avoiding sound instruments being placed on the body.

For people with an implanted heart pacemaker, stent, or shunt, always keep the sound instruments at a minimum distance of 20 cm, and never use them directly on or near metal implants
