Transformational Breakthrough Trauma-Informed Breathwork

What is Transformational Trauma-Informed Breathwork?

Transformational trauma-informed breathwork is a powerful healing modality that combines conscious breathing techniques with trauma-sensitive somatic practices to create safe pathways for emotional release, nervous system regulation, and profound personal transformation. This approach recognises that trauma lives in the body and uses the breath as a gentle yet effective tool to help you release what no longer serves you.

Breathwork accesses healing through the body's wisdom, allowing you to process and release stored emotions, tension, and trauma without having to relive or verbally articulate painful traumatic experiences.

Science is slowly catching up with the magic of breathwork. What happens in the deeper extended breathing practices is truly remarkable. Some people say it is the most impactful experience of their lives – even more than some of their deepest plant medicine or psychedelic experiences. This without ingesting any substances or medicines!

As you breathe deeper and deeper, you start to release endorphins and other chemicals within the bloodstream. You experience different reactions, which vary from person to person and with your set and setting. You can feel all sorts of bodily sensations and memory recalls as your brainwaves shift from alpha to beta and sometimes even theta. This is where we can access more of the subconscious mind, move into heart coherence and even enter a state of complete euphoria.

Born from: Years of therapy that helped my mind but couldn't reach the trauma stored in my body

Traditional talk therapy taught me about my trauma and what activates me; but breathwork taught me how to release it. When I discovered I could literally breathe my way through difficult situations and use my breathe on parts of my body that trauma had frozen, I knew I had to learn to facilitate this modality for others.

How Does It Work?

Your breath is directly connected to your nervous system and emotional state. Through specific breathing patterns and techniques, we can:

  • Activate your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest response)

  • Release stored trauma and tension from your body

  • Regulate emotional overwhelm and anxiety

  • Access deeper states of consciousness for healing and insight

  • Restore natural breathing patterns that support wellbeing
